Paws At Home Limited is a family business run by Hilary, Don and Geoff, between us we have in excess of seventy years caring for cats. We pride ourselves on giving outstanding care to the cats we look after by offering a bespoke service that caters to you and your cats needs.
Why we started Paws At Home
After a stay in a cattery where our cat had not settled we were unsure what to do next time we went away. Being local my father Geoff suggested he visited daily to feed and check on her; this seemed like a good idea. In practice it was brilliant she was happy and contented in her own home. We have never looked back and to this day when we go away my father Geoff still looks after our cats. Friends realising we no longer used catteries started to ask us to look after their cats and from there things grew.
We started Paws At Home Limited because we knew we were not the only people whose cats disliked being in a cattery and who would benefit from a service where their cats could remain secure in their own environment getting the love and care they need whilst their owners are away and giving owners the peace of mind their cats are happy.
Living with myself and Don we currently have two cats, Misty and Dexter, both rescues. Misty was 10 weeks old and we were her fifth home. Consequently she was very nervous, scared of humans and of her own shadow. Over time she has developed into a beautiful cat that is very loving and a Daddy’s girl she is never happier than on Don's lap being fussed buzzing her little heart out. Dexter was a 4 month old rescue and despite being in a rescue centre had not received much human interaction and did not understand human touch. He is now a confident little boy with a huge personality that makes us both laugh every day. Dexter is a mummys boy and follows me around the house and likes to sleep next to me on the bed at night.

As well as founding Paws At Home Limited, Hilary enjoys a successful career within the preforming arts industry and is the founding director of Starlight Stage School. In her spare time she enjoys horticulture and can often be found tending to the garden or pottering around the allotment.
Alongside co founding Paws At Home Limited, Don runs his own successful computerised control systems business which has been trading for nearly thirty years. When not working he can be found fishing or at the allotment or preferably sat doing either Sudoku or cryptic crosswords usually with Misty curled up on his lap.
After a very successful thirty year career in the police force Geoff took early retirement, he then started his second career in the car industry where for fifteen years he worked for many of the top dealerships. Geoff currently works within the NHS. Family is hugely important to Geoff and one of his favourite things is spending time with his family especially his grandson.
