Terms And Conditions

  1. All clients will be deemed to have read and fully accepted Paws At Home Limited terms and conditions as laid out below when they sign the Cat Sitting Form.
  2. Paws At Home Limited is covered by public liability and specialist pet sitting insurance provided by Pet Business Insurance who are authorised and regulated by the FCA Financial Conduct Authority.
  3. Clients must complete all relevant documentation included in the Registration Pack and return them to Paws At Home Limited prior to going away. All forms will be dated and signed to signify agreement with Paws At Home Limited arrangements and terms of service.
  4. A deposit of 25% (minimum amount £20) is required at the time of booking, receipt of this payment confirms your booking. The outstanding balance to be paid either during the initial consultation or for regular clients’ 48 hours before we commence our service. Payments must be made via internet banking.
  5. Where payment is not received in accordance with these terms and conditions of business, Paws At Home Limited reserves the right not to proceed with any previously discussed arrangements.
  6. The client agrees to secure the home prior to leaving the premises. Paws At Home Limited will re-secure the home to the same standard after each visit.
  7. Your house keys will be locked in our secure key safe and only taken out when we are paying a visit to your property and will then be returned to the safe and will not remain on our person for any longer than is necessary for our business purposes. Your keys will be identified by your cats name and surname all other information about you will be held separately.
  8. It is the clients responsibility to ensure that your home insurance is valid and up to date. Paws At Home Limited will not be held liable for any loss or damage in the event of a burglary, other crime or leaks and electrical problems that could occur whilst under this contract. Should an incident occur whilst you are away we will inform yourself where possible and your emergency contact and report the incident to the Police if required. If we are unable to contact either yourself or your emergency contact we will make a subjective decision on dealing with the problem.
  9. Paws At Home Limited will not accept liability for any damage to the property caused by your pet(s).
  10. Paws At Home Limited will not be held liable for any other non resident animal gaining access to your property via open cat flap or window and causing damage.
  11. Paws At Home Limited will not open and close windows during our visits. It is the clients responsibility to ensure windows in the property are secured and locked before you leave, property will remain in the same state as left by the client.
  12. All personal data about clients remain in the strictest confidence and complies with current GDPR legislation. Clients personal data will only be used as needed for us to carry out our service in accordance with our privacy policy (copy of which can be found on our website). Paws At Home Limited will not sell, distribute or lease clients’ personal information to any third party. If Paws At home Limited is required to pass on any personal information it will only be done with the clients’ written expressed permission. Any clients no longer wishing to use our service will have all their details destroyed.
  13. The client must contact Paws At Home Limited as soon as possible upon their return home. If we are not retaining you keys for future use then we aim to return your keys within 48 hours.
  14. Cancellations 28 days or more before the start date of our services will receive a full deposit refund. However if you cancel within 28 days of your start date you will only receive 50% refund of your deposit.
  15. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure your cats insurance is valid and up to date. Paws At Home Limited will care for your animal as you would, we will make every effort to ensure your pet remains in excellent health in your absence however we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.
  16. Paws At Home Limited cannot service a home with visiting pets or animals that do not belong to the resident.
  17. The client must provide all items necessary for the animals to be adequately cared for in the client’s absence. (all food, medication, cat litter, toys etc). Should any additional supplies be required whilst in the care of Paws At Home Limited, items will be purchased and be recharged to the client. In the event of a flea or worm infestation Paws At Home Limited will treat the cat at your expense. Payment for these will need to be done within 5 days of the clients return.
  18. The client must provide Paws At Home Limited with the name and contact number of an emergency contact. This person needs to be capable of making a decision and or pay a bill if there is a problem concerning either your pet or property in your absence. It is the client responsibility to gain consent from the nominated person they use.
  19. The client should inform their vets Paws At Home Limited are appointed carers for their animals whilst they are away. Paws At Home Limited assumes no responsibility for the injury or loss of the cat(s) and is released from all liability related to transportation, treatment and expense.
  20. By signing the veterinary release form the client agrees that if required Paws At Home Limited will seek veterinary treatment. The client remains liable for all costs. In case of an emergency, where we are unable to contact either you or your emergency contact Paws At Home Limited reserves the right to consult with your registered veterinary surgeon and make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal.
  21. Paws At Home Limited would recommend that cats remain indoors whilst the client is away. However should you wish your cat(s) to have access to the outside via a cat flap or open window and in accordance with Paws At Home Limited policy, we will not be held liable for the disappearance, injury or death of the cat.
  22. Paws At Home Limited will not tolerate aggressive or rude written or verbal behaviour. When such behaviour occurs we will terminate the booking immediately.
  23. Paws At Home Limited will ensure we follow your written instructions regarding watering of your plants however we are not responsible if the results are not favourable resulting in wilted, dead or unhealthy plants.
